Israel is an increasingly fragile society; with multiple divisions between her 7.6 million citizens. Israel’s citizens lack a positive sense of shared civic belonging and a consensual vision, agenda and hope for a better shared future.
Kulanana aims to help young Israelis of all backgrounds become increasingly comfortable with the diversity that characterizes our society by providing a meaningful and inclusive sense of civic belonging. They will be inspired and equipped to help shape a better shared future, based on the three Kulanana key themes of citizenship, diversity and fairness.
Melitz is proud to be a partner in Kulanana, working to encourage the examination and adoption of Kulanana's key concepts while promoting the model of "shared citizenship" among the NGOs involved in "pluralistic Jewish education in Israel and worldwide". Melitz leads ongoing educational activities - meetings, sessions and seminars – relating to the three key Kulanana concepts and trains educators from these NGOs to promote the Kulanana vision in their organizations and translate it into broad educational activity.
