Identity and Purpose In-Service Zionist Identity Seminars for IDF Soldiers
The Identity and Purpose In-Service Zionist Identity Seminar is designed to increase knowledge of Jewish and Zionist heritage among commanders and soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) while clarifying their personal and professional identities. Conducted over a period of one or two days, this in-service seminar introduces officers of combat and non-combat units to content, tools, and techniques that enable them to confront the educational challenges in their units and increase the Jewish and Zionist identity and values of the soldiers under their charge.
This innovative, multidisciplinary, pluralistic program trains some 6,000 IDF personnel each year in Jewish and Israeli identity and ethics. Identity and Purpose enhances the educational leadership skills of IDF commanders and empowers them to serve as “commander educators” who impact tens of thousands of soldiers under their charge and infuse them with Jewish identity and values.
